UNH Police Chief Lee resigns following DWI arrest


DOVER, N.H. – University of New Hampshire Police Chief Steven Lee has resigned after pleading guilty to driving under the influence following his arrest earlier this year in Portsmouth,

Lee’s resignation came earlier this month after the school notified him; they were terminating his employment following an investigation into his arrest back on January 22, 2026.

Lee,50, had been placed on administrative leave pending an internal investigation since his arrest.
