Nashua’s Ward 1 Alderman Stephen Chess resigns


NASHUA, N.H. – Less than 6 months after being elected, Ward 1 Alderman Stephen Chess has announced he is resigning, citing the additional demands of his time since the recent birth of his second child,

In a recent post on social media Chess announced soon after his daughter’s birth he realized he wouldn’t be able to devote the time necessary to fulfilling his aldermanic duties.

Anyone living in the Ward 1 district interested in serving out Chess term must submit a letter of interest by end of business day on April 30,2026.
