While exact details of Thursday evening’s events have yet to be released, the Attorney General’s office says the incident came out of a chase in which State and local police were pursuing a vehicle they had been trying to locate earlier in the day.

After authorities made contact with the unidentified woman at the intersection of Route 302 and Route 112, they discovered the unidentified woman was armed with what was believed to be a handgun.

Authorities ended up closing part of Route 112 at the intersection with Route 302 due to the incident.
