Thornton man facing murder charge in sister’s death

THORNTON, N.H.- The New Hampshire Attorney General’s office says a Thornton man has been charged with second-degree murder following the death of his sister.

According to investigators a little before 8:30 Monday morning officers from the Thornton and Campton Police departments arrived at residence on Mad River Road in response to a 911 call and discovered Leah Anderson, 21, suffered a gunshot to the head and was taken to a hospital where she later died from her injuries.

Following her death the Attorney General’s office announced the woman’s bother Logan Anderson,18, has been charged in connection with her death.

While the investigation into the events in question leading up to Anderson’s death are ongoing, authorities say an autopsy has been scheduled for Tuesday.

Logan Anderson is scheduled to be arraigned later Tuesday.
