State Police investigating after man is pulled from the Merrimack River

MANCHESTER, N.H.- Authorities say an investigation is underway after the body of an unidentified man was pulled from the Merrimack River earlier this week but say they don’t believe it to be suspicious.

According to police a little after 9 p.m. Tuesday evening Marine Patrol responded to a report of person in the river near the Taylor Falls Bridge on the Hudson and Nashua line.

A little before 11:30 p.m. crews conducting a search of the of the river and surrounding area pulled the body of an unresponsive 34-year-old was pulled from the water and pronounced dead at the scene.

As for the man’s identiy officials say that’s the being withheld pending an autopsy and notification of family.
