NH to get nearly $30M from final Purdue Pharma settlement

CONCORD, NH

Over the next decade the state of New Hampshire is set to receive nearly $30 million as part of a $7.4 billion settlement between opioid maker Purdue Pharma and several states across the country

According to the NH Atty General’s office the monies are the result of an investigation begun in 2015 into allegations Purdue Pharma was fueling the opioid epidemic by aggressively marketing its pain-killing medications.

State law dictates that 85% of the money will be placed into the Opioid Settlement Trust Fund which the Legislature created to support anti-substance abuse programs across the state.
