MANCHESTER,N.H.- The man charged with shooting multiple people inside the Sky Meadow Country Club in Nashua, killing one person and wounding others plans to use an insanity defense.
According to court documents on Wednesday lawyers for Hunter Nadeau filed notice saying they may argue that a mental disease or defect may have impacted Nadeau’s actions when he committed the crime, which claimed the life of Robert DeCesare back in September of 2025.
Following his arrest Nadeau told police he had a had a sudden urge to kill himself, but he decided to punish the wealthy.
Back in May a judge told Nadeau until this week to decide if he would end up using the insanity plea.
Jury selection in the case is scheduled for June of 2027.
