MANCHESTER, N.H.- Retired state Supreme Court Justice Anna Barbara Hantz Marconi is reportedly facing charges after the state’s Judicial Conduct Committee relaunched its investigation into her actions, when she inquired about her husband’s criminal probe.

According to the five-page complaint the committee says Hantz Marconi failed to comply with the law, including the Code of Judicial Conduct when she reached out to Pease Development Authority Chairman Stephen Duprey and then now-former Governor Chris Sununu over the investigation into her husband Geno Marconi.

The investigaton into her actions had orgionally been been put on hold until the Attorney General’s investigation into her actions concluded, which resulted in her pleading no contest.

Hantz Marconi,70, has since retired from the bench after reaching the mandatory retirement age, and ended up releasing a lengthy statement through her lawyer in which she called the committee’s charges unnecessary, but she acknowledged how her meeting with Governor Sununu may have appeared both in person and on paper;

However, it appears the Committee prefers a trial despite my acknowledgments, despite the resolution of the matter in court, despite Governor Sununu’s statements that ‘there was no request’ or ‘anything illegal,’ and despite the fact that I did not attempt to influence the AG’s investigation of my husband…I am disappointed that I am being subjected to this unnecessary process.

Out of this complaint the committee will hold a hearing on December 7,2026, which officials note could take several days.
