Five charged out of gun & drug trafficking operation, includes three from New Hampshire

MANCHESTER, N.H.- Federal authorities say five people have been charged for what’s being described as a major operation trafficking both guns and drugs throughout New England and say three of those induvials are from the Granite State.

According to court documents Mackenzie Bimpson, 28, of Berlin, Michael Miller, 31, of Littleton, and Ernest Laplante Jr., 56, of Littleton. were charged out a bust in which authorities seized fentanyl, cocaine, marijuana and 94 firearms.

Authorities say Bimpson led the overall effort and that he and Miller operated as the group’s drug distributors, selling fentanyl and other drugs to customers in New Hampshire and Maine. However, officials also note that Bimpson is currently serving time in a state prison after being convicted of another drug related crime in 2024.

Authorities also note that two other indivuals, Nilbel Ventura Amaro, 26, of Lawrence, Massachusetts, and Steve Perez, 34, of East Haven, Connecticut were also charged for their roles in the operation.
