Concord officials greenlight Penacook stretch of Greenway Trail

CONCORD, NH – A new section of the Merrimack River Greenway Trail is moving forward after Concord City Councilors this week approved the design and construction funding

The 12 mile Greenway Trail will run through Concord, linking Pembroke to the Northern Rail Trail, near the Hannah Dustin memorial in Boscawen.

Organizers behind the Greenway Trail refer to it as the “Penacook Rail Trail.”

An estimated completion date has not been set.  However, the permitting process will last at least into 2027.
