WALPOLE, N.H.- Town officials have ordered residents to boil water.

The Water Department reported that E. coli bacteria has been found in the water.

The department noted the E. coli bacteria was caused by increased runoff entering the drinking water source.

Authorities are ordering Walpole residents to bring all water to a boil; let it sit for 2 minutes and cool off before drinking.

The Water Department expects the issue to be resolved by Friday.
