KEENE, N.H.-The New Hampshire Attorney General’s office says an investigation is underway into what is being described as a pair of suspicious deaths.

Tuesday morning Keene Police conducuting a welfare check arrived at a home on Hurricane Road discovered the bodies of an unidentified couple in their 70s.

Police say they have reason to believe the deaths of the 72-year-old man and 70-year-old woman were the result of a murder-suicide.

Authorities say they’ll know more once autopsies have been conducted, which are scheduled for later Wednesday.

As the investigation continues authorities say there is no threat to the general public.
