Vail Resorts said it will now offer tax-free passes that provide access only to its New Hampshire resorts. The move comes after Gov. Kelly Ayotte announced an investigation last week into whether Vail Resorts was collecting sales tax through a charge on all multi-resort passes. The company said a form on its website allows customers to either purchase the New Hampshire-only option or switch from a prior purchase and request a refund for any tax paid. Ayotte said the Attorney General’s Office will still continue its investigation.
