RYE N.H. –The town of Rye’s Selectboard is reconsidering a recent vote that would remove 90 parking spaces along Ocean Boulevard.

Selectboard members believed that removing the spaces would make the roads around the beaches safer.

This week dozens of residents spoke out at a Selectboard meeting voicing their concern and opposition to the plan to take away, what they argue, are essential parking spaces.

Following the meeting Selectboard members decided to form a committee that would revisit removing the spaces.
