Rochester woman killed in head-on crash on Route 11 in Alton

ALTON, N.H. – Stacey Odette-Bissell, 40, of Rochester was killed Tuesday morning after her car crossed into the eastbound lane on Rte. 11 in Alton and struck head on an SUV driven by Jessica Franklin,31, of Maine.

Both drivers were trapped and had to be extricated. Franklin was taken to Portsmouth Regional Hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Odette-Bissell was declared dead at the scene

The cause of the accident is under investigation with a focus on Odette-Bissell possibly suffering a medical emergency

Neither speed nor road conditions apparently contributed to the crash
