MANCHESTER, N.H.- Officials have confirmed that the Queen City Bridge will remain closed so crews can examine areas of concern.

With that decision the Department of Transportation says both lanes of I-293 will need to be shut down in order to allow inspectors the ability to get a closer look at potential problems plaguing the bridge.

As officials say the closure is scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday night between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m.

Those drivers looking to access I-293 South at Exit 4, will end up getting detoured onto Second Street to I-293 at Exit 5

Drivers should note that crews will close down the high-speed lane on the Northbound side Wednesday and then the Southbound side Thursday night.

Officials ended up ordering the bridge closed Monday after an inspection showed signs of rust and a possible crack in the truss under the bridge
