MANCHESTER, N.H.- The Queen City Bridge is back open after being closed due to potential structural deficiencies.

Following the reopening Mayor Jay Ruais released a statement thanking the City’s public works department for their increased response to the matter, along with state officials including Governor Ayotte for their dedication in ensuring the safety of the city’s infrastructure and citizens for their patience during the past week.

The mayor went on to say that crews will continue to monitor the impacted areas, and clean and paint it.

The reopening comes after officials closed the bridge Monday due concerns of rust and a possible crack in the truss, which led to additional testing and evaluation to figure out whether it was safe for traffic.
