MANCHESTER, N.H.- Fire officials say one dog and two cats died in a house fire Wednesday afternoon on Almeda Street.

A little after 2 p.m. crews arrived on scene and were met with heavy smoke coming from the single-family home. However, crews had the fire under control in about 20 minuets.

Out of the fire two other dogs and a cat were removed from the home and are said to be ok.

Fire officials note that no one was home at the time of the fire, as for a cause, that’s the subject of an ongoing investigation.
