MANCHESTER, N.H.- A doctor facing numerous charges ranging from aggravated felonious sexual assault, to falsifying physical evidence has waived his arraignment in Hillsborough County Superior Court.

According to court documents Dr. David Vargas Lowy appeared before a judge Friday and was released on $2,500 cash bail and has been told he is forbidden from having direct and or indirect contact with his four alleged victims and is no longer allowed to practice medicine in the state of New Hampshire. Vargas Lowy also waived his extradition and handed over his passport to police.

This latest development comes after Vargas Lowy, a pediatric neurologist was originally indicted on eight counts of felonious sexual assault back in December after authorities received a report, he sexually assaulted a 17-year-old female patient during an office visit in September of 2025 and was recently charged with five more changes, including three simple assault misdemeanor charges.

Vargas Lowy is due back in court on June 11,2026 for a dispositional hearing.
