MANCHESTER, N.H.- A woman says she was left locked inside an urgent care clinic in Keene after employees closed for the night, forcing her to call 911 for help to get out.
Tia Chalander says she originally went to the Convenient MD on Winchester Street back on September 24, for an asthma attack and after a staff member gave her a steroid shot, they said they would be right back but never returned.
After waiting an irregular amount of time in an exam room Chalnder says she discovered that she was alone and texted her husband and then called 911 for help after she tripped the alarm.
Chalnder says she’s still shocked that this happened; meanwhile Convenient MD issued a statement to WMUR-TV which said:
“We sincerely regret the incident that occurred on Thursday, Sept. 24, at our urgent care clinic in Keene involving one of our valued patients. Clearly, this should never have happened and does not represent the quality of care we seek to provide the Keene community. The practice manager immediately expressed our deepest apologies to the patient.”
Chalnder says she hopes nothing like this happens to anyone else.
