Goffstown man charged with falsely reporting a stolen car, while police say he crashed it

BOW, N.H.- Police say a Goffstown man has been charged out of an incident in which he told police someone stole his car and crashed it; however, police allege he was the one in fact who crashed the vehicle.

According to Police Shawn McComiskey,23, has been charged out the accident which occurred Monday morning near Crescent Drive and South Bow Road in which he not only crashed his vehicle but called police to report it was missing, while police allege that claim was false.

Out of the accident Police say McComiskey fled the scene of the accident and that local police ended up relying on support from New Hampshire State police in apprehending McComiskey.

Following his arrest Police say he was ordered held without bail, pending an arraignment, due to the fact that at the time of his arrest he was out on bail for a previous crime.
