MANCHESTER, N.H- A federal judge has rejected the state’s latest attempt to overturn a recent ruling allowing some voters to use their student IDs at the polls.

On Wednesday a judge denied the state’s motion and said that while state law prevents Student IDs from being the lone form of acceptable identification at the polls, election officials may consider a Student ID to help prove someone’s identity in a case-by-case basis.

The news comes after a judge earlier this month said that Student IDs could be accepted at the polls. which has resulted in the state pushing back and saying that Election workers hadn’t been trained to deal with that situation.
