MANCHESTER, N.H.- Senate President Sharon Carson, R-Londonderry is getting involved in the discussion over the development of Data Centers in the Granite State.

According to the Union Leader, Carson recently announced that she plans to author legislation that would see a moratorium placed on new projects and require any developers to discuss and address the expected costs of water and electricity usages up front, along with what is described as nuisance noise that the centers would produce.

Following this news, Democratic lawmakers are questioning Carson’s plans, after Republicans laid to waste SB 439 last year in the House, which sought to place similar restrictions on data centers and amended it to expressly allow them in commercial and industrial zones.
