MANCHESTER,N.H.- Baboosic Lake, between the towns of Amherst and Merrimack, will be chemically treated for cyanobacteria, also known as blue-green algae, in June.

Volunteers said this will make the lake clearer than it’s been in years.

The project was made possible through a surface water discharge permit administered by the federal Environmental Protection Agency although more money will need to be raised to fully complete the project.

The treatment will start June 1 and be completed June 10, weather permitting.
