MANCHESTER, N.H.- Governor Kelly Ayotte says Medicare beneficiaries in Coos and Carroll counties will have access to Medicare Advantage plans in 2027, reversing earlier information that indicated coverage would not be available.

Ayotte says she worked with Dr. Mehmet Oz, head of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, to help secure the coverage option.

The announcement comes as changes to insurers’ participation threaten to limit Medicare Advantage choices for some Granite State residents.

Medicare open enrollment runs through December 7, giving beneficiaries time to review their options for next year.
