Authorities investigate police involved shooting in Milton

MILTON, N.H.- The New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office says an investigation is underway in Milton, after a man was injured in a shooting involving police.

According to investigators, the incident began Wednesday night when Farmington police answered a call on Elm Street, where they found a man barricaded inside his vehicle with what appeared to be a handgun.
During the interaction between the man and police, authorities say shots were fired and the man was injured.

From there he was then taken to a local hospital, however authorities have yet to mention the extent of his injuries.

As the investigation continues, both the Milton Elementary School and Nute Middle-High School are closed today, due to the proximity of the investigation, however authorities note there is no known threat to the public.
