19 people displaced following a fire at a multifamily home on Manchester’s West side

MANCHESTER,N.H.- Authorities say Wednesday afternoon’s fire at a multifamily home on the city’s west side has displaced 19 people.

Around 4:30 p.m. Fire crews responded to a call on Dubuque St. for a report of smoke and were able to bring the fire under control before it could spread to the rest of the building.

No injuries were reported as authorities note the residents were able to evacuate safely when Fire Fighters arrived on scene. As for where the fire began, investigatators say the fire started accidentally in a second-floor bedroom.

Damage to the building is estimated at $30,000.
