Manchester, NH aldermen vote to remove Hanover Street parking spaces

MANCHESTER, NH – By a vote of 8-6 Manchester City aldermen this week have voted to remove on-street parking on Hanover Street and expand sidewalks along the Theatre Block.

The removal of on-street parking is part of a $1.8 million project with a goal of improving pedestrian accessibility in downtown Manchester.

The change won’t go into effect until construction involving widening sidewalks in the area is ready to begin.
