Police say New England Patriots wide receiver Stefon Diggs is facing strangulation and other criminal charges in connection with an incident that happened earlier this month. According to a police report on December 2nd, there was an altercation between Diggs and a private chef over a paycheck dispute at his Dedham residence. The chef reportedly told Diggs she was owed a month’s pay after being sent home for a week in November because Diggs was having house guests. The paperwork says Diggs slapped her across the face and then choked her. Diggs denies all the charges. He’s due in court January 23rd right before the playoffs. In a statement, the Patriots say they are supporting Stefon and Coach Mike Vrabel will be holding a press conference at 1pm today.
