The state Attorney General’s Office announced Wednesday that the state has received its initial payment of nearly $8 million from the 3M company’s nationwide PFAS settlement. The payment is the first installment of a $56 million settlement with the state over PFAS contamination in water, soil, and other natural resources. The funds will be deposited into the New Hampshire Drinking Water and Groundwater Trust Fund. A second, payment is expected near the end of the year.
