Manchester man charged in Hampton shooting

MANCHESTER, N.H.- Authorities have charged a Manchester man for allegedly opening fire from his vehicle while driving through Hampton Beach striking multiple people and forcing authorities to issue a shelter in place order.

According to Police Divaris Ojani Ruiz has been charged with four counts of first-degree assault with a deadly weapon along with four counts of reckless conduct for opening fire Tuesday night while driving near Ocean Boulevard hitting three people and then fleeing to Deerfield before being taken into custody.

Authorities say the three individuals shot Tuesday evening sustained non-life-threating injuries.  Following his arrest the 18-year-old appeared in court  Wednesday and ordered held without bail.
