Five communities battle a fire in Merrimack


MERRIMACK, NH – Merrimack Firefighters responded to 1 Shore Drive shortly after 830 last night (Sunday, March 29).

Upon arrival a call for mutual aid was made with Bedford, Amherst, Nashua, and Londonderry. Fire companies all responding.

Crews were able to extinguish the fire, which kept the damage to a minimum and in the area of origin in the rear exterior wall. The fire was called under control at 9:39 PM and all fire companies cleared the fire scene by 10:44 PM.

The residence was occupied at the time of the fire and no civilian or fire fighter injuries were reported. The fire remains under investigation by the Merrimack Fire Marshal’s Office.
