MANCHESTER, N.H.- The sentencing of former Nashua State Rep Stacie Maire Laughton, the state’s first transgender elected official has been pushed back to mid-June.

As a result’s Laughton’s sentencing has now been scheduled for June 18th.

Laughton, 41, who was born Barry Laughton is facing up to 30 years in prison after pleading guilty this past November to exchanging more than 1,000 texts with his former romantic partner Linday Groves of Hudson that she took while working at a daycare in Tyngsborough, Massachusetts.

Groves was recently sentenced to 22 years in prison after pleading guilty to of sexual exploitation of children and distribution of child pornography.
